Sing along

Karaoke on the big screen, with an iPhone in the room acting as the microphone. Familiar songs, words on screen. Needs an iCloud account and a paid Apple subscription, billed by Apple.

Face to face with family

A visitor or care partner runs the call from their iPhone and puts it on the television at full size — easier to see and hear than a handheld screen, and the resident holds nothing. Same iCloud and Apple subscription requirement.

Nothing listening in between

The screen has no camera or microphone of its own. Both come from an iPhone someone brings into the room, and only while a call or sing-along is running.
